Jon is the Chief Creative Officer at Edelman Chicago. There he is building a modern creative engine combining ideas, design, execution, and innovation with an earned-centric approach to media. Over the last two years, he has fostered a connected and collaborative culture that has significantly raised the creative bar while producing a string of new business wins including Clif Bar, DoorDash, 7-11, and Miller Lite.
Prior to that he was an Executive Creative Director at DDB Chicago where he drove the Capital One business and led work for Savor, Venture, and Quicksilver cards, March Madness, across broadcast, digital, and social.
Before that Jon was an Executive Creative Director at FCB Chicago and Chief Creative Officer at FCB Toronto where he played a key role in rebuilding and setting the foundation for creative excellence in both offices. After two years in Toronto, the agency was recognized as Canada’s most creatively awarded agency in 2016. Since then, along with FCB Chicago, both offices have contributed significantly to the network’s rise as a global creative force, culminating in recognition as 2021 Agency of the Year at One Show 2021 Network of the Year at Cannes and 2022 NA Network of the Year at Cannes.
Along the way, Jon has won every major award in the industry, including 35 Cannes Lions, Gold, Silver and Bronze pencils at The One Show, multiple wins at D&AD, Clio, three gold and one Grand Effie, and appearances in several Communication Arts Annuals. Including his seven years at Element 79, where he worked on and ran the Gatorade business, he has been a part of building or rebuilding three advertising agencies and one PR firm.
And before all the above, Jon spent two summers working for the Central Intelligence Agency (always good for a Two Truths and a Lie), and at an early age, wanted to be an architect.
Which may or may not explain why he likes building, rebuilding, and rewiring agencies and PR firms so much.
